With your sweaters, that is! During fall I don’t think there is anything better than a chic slouchy sweater, paired with perfect cognac riding boots. All that’s really needed are some simple jewels and a statement handbag to let other know that yes – you know your sweater is oversized, and you meant to wear it that way! I’ve been crushing on this oversized Gap sweater – it looks like something I’d live in on the weekends. Since I can’t afford them, I’m hoping some of you take advantage of Loeffler Randall’s sale – these boots are beautiful. On that same token – this bag too! A girl can dream! Also, I’m love the cat earrings and ring from Madewell’s accessories — quirky and cute. We made it to Friday – happy weekend!
I’m excited to introduce you to Paperless Post if you haven’t heard of it before! Since everything is online these days, it only makes sense that holiday cards to friends can be online too. I think because the cards are so cute, they are perfectly acceptable even though they are e-cards. The best part: Kate Spade collaborated with Paperless Post and has some great holiday designs! My favorite? The singing dachshunds, of course! Fa la la! Apart from holiday cards, Paperless Post also has great cards for any occasion. Hop on over and check it out their site!
It’s currently my favorite part of the year! Some people are summer people, but not me. I love fall and even the transition into winter. The cold days that have a bite and push people to turn on their fireplaces…the fireplace smell…favorites. Colder weather also means cold weather accessories…a way to show a little style under that huge black puffer, and if you’re like me you’ll have a scarf in every color (oops). Cozy up people – it’s about to get even colder out there! Stay warm with some of my current favorite pieces for inside & outside…enjoy!
There is always something about the holiday season that makes me want to add a bit of extra sparkle!! Let’s be honest though – I am usually adorned in at least 2 bracelets, a watch, earrings and a necklace that have pave jewels on them. I first fell in love with Alexis Bittar’s designs during a NYC trip to his Soho boutique. I came away with this necklace and have been hooked ever since! His newest pieces combine my two favorites – crystal encrusted and smoky quartz. It’s an elegant neutral that would go perfectly with a little black dress or a festive holiday outfit.
Which one is your favorite??
Love this print from Chelsea Victoria – the bokah is great and I love the romantic, cozy feel to this shot! This is going to be a part of my gallery wall, along with this NYC print & this one too (love the SATC reference)!
Until I have some shots of my own gallery wall for you, I’ll leave you with some of my inspiration images :)
The other day I stumbled across some great tutorials from Selective Potential, and thought I’d put my skills to the test in Photoshop Elements 11. I may be biased on the cuteness, but who DOESN’T want to see a cute little weenie-dog puppy to get them through a workday?? I thought so. :) Please see Vintage effect – Polaroid Minnie below!
When I first saw this video over on Keiko’s page my first thoughts were:
1) I want bags
2) That berry lipstick is perfection
3) Can I have that music soundtrack play in the background of my life?
4) Who else wants to play in a room full of balloons, pillows, sparkles and streamers with me?
Finally! I was so happy to see that Instagram is making headway and now are starting to enable desktop-viewing. What does that mean? Probably more hours of instagram addiction but that’s alright. It features a fun header which showcases some of your latest pics (in my case, our little pup Minnie who was visiting me in Charlotte while my parents were on vacation!). The same great features of commenting and liking are still available, and you can search for any of your usual followers! You can see below what my Instagram page looks like, and also some of my favorite recent snaps!
A beautiful cupcake scene at a Tennessee Wedding!
Paper Mache Animal Busts on the wall at Anthropologie!
Arm Parties at the Virginia Tech Hokies Game! It was a “White-Out” so I had to jazz things up in Hokie Colors!

Make sure to follow me on Instagram from @ceperk or now via desktop to keep up!! Xo
No, I’m not donating all my hair. I haven’t had enough hair to donate in over 9 years – but compliments to those who do take the plunge! I’m talking about locks I love on others – and how do I make that happen on my own head!! On Wednesday I’m going to a new hair stylist here in Charlotte and hoping for a great outcome! If you read my fun About Me section here on Suttonrowe, you’ll see that I define perfect hair as a mix of browns and blondes. These are the inspiration images I will be taking with me — I want some sort of ombre going on, but every time I tell a stylist this I am either a) talked out of it or b) no ombre occurs. Hoping this highly recommended stylist pulls it off!
On a separate note, I had my first reading EVER with a psychic last night with a fun group of girls. We were all told LOTS of interesting things – but apparently Wednesday is my “power day” and my “power number” is 4. My hair appointment is on Wednesday and to hit the ball out of the park I plan to show 4 Pinterest images. Now I’m off to eat more Alkaline foods because apparently if I don’t, my (already) acidic pH in my body will become disease ridden and cause me to bear no children. (WHAT!) Cheers to my great psychic reading! ;)
I know I’m not the only one with a Pinterest addiction in the blogosphere! It’s so easy to get lost in a world of beautiful images, quotes, photographs and style boards – especially on those gray days where staying inside is the best option. I routinely have lust lists boards – most recently fall must haves and winter lovelies which become go-to spots to store things that catch my eye. Aside from pins that get me excited for holiday parties, pinterest is also master of quotes. Whatever mood you’re in, they have some that make you think and remind you of all the positive things in your life! Here are some of my most recent favorites :)
